Best Aftermarket Heads Up Display For Cars
Today I want to help you find the best aftermarket heads up display for cars. Keep in mind that when I am reviewing products, there are various purchasing factors I keep in mind.
For example, is the HUD a simple one which has GPS and measures speed, or is it a more advanced OBD diagnostics system?
I will also be looking for how easily these items mount in a car, how easy they are to set up, the quality of the display, and a few other factors as well.
Hudly Wireless Head-Up Display
In terms of heads up displays, this might just be my favourite option. It features a really neat display, one which actually projects up from the main device onto a clear display. It’s nice because it does not distract from driving, plus it is partially see-through as well, so I can still see the road through it.
All I have to do is mount it on my dash using the suction cups, plug it into the cigarette lighter, and I am good to go. It works with iPhone and Android phones, plus the Bluetooth connection is pretty solid. When it comes down to it, I think this is one of the best options to go with at this time.
SHEROX A900 Car HUD Head Up Display
What I like about this item is that it is a very simple display which informs me of various factors such as fuel consumption, battery voltage, vehicle speed and overspeed warning, as well as a few other important factors.
It also tells me about engine faults, high temperatures, and it even has the power to eliminate fault codes, which is pretty neat as far as I am concerned.
Now, what I am not a big fan of here is that you do need to connect it using the OBD system, which is alright I guess, but not my favourite option out there.
It’s a fine option if I want to see how my car is doing, but in terms of anything that resembles a GPS, it would not be my first choice.
GPS Head-Up Display Speedometer
Now, if I was looking for an aftermarket heads up display that is simple and straightforward, the GPS Head-Up Display Speedometer is an option that I would investigate further.
This item mounts onto my dashboard using a simple adhesive strip, which is fine for the time being.
The fact that it just needs to be plugged into the cigarette lighter is pretty nifty too.
I am not sure how long the adhesive will last, but it seems to be good enough, plus the mount is adjustable in terms of angle, which is nice.
This item informs me of my current speed, plus it comes with overspeed warnings as well. It features an automatic brightness adjustment function so it is always easy to read.
It might not be the most advanced option out there, but sometimes it’s simplicity that takes the day.
TIMPROVE T600 Universal Car HUD
This is a nice heads up display, a fairly advanced one if I do say so myself.
I like the TIMPROVE T600 Universal Car HUD because it can inform me of various driving vectors including speed, mileage, altitude, driving direction, satellite time, and more.
What is also nice is that it is fairly advanced and is able to run some basic vehicle diagnostics, such as a brake check for one, among many others.
It has a really nice and large display that is easy to read in any light conditions, plus using it is as simple as plugging it in and turning on your car.
This is a more advanced and fancier option to go with that can inform you of all kinds of driving vectors and measures a vehicle’s performance too.
DRIVIM Car HUD Head Up Display
Something that I want you to keep in mind in regard to the DRIVIM Car HUD Head Up Display is that its technically an OBD2 device.
This means that it can run a variety of tests and diagnostic scans on a vehicle to measure overall performance, which is really cool as far as I am concerned, but do keep in mind that OBD2 devices do have some compatibility issues and do not work with all cars.
However, if you need a good OBD2 scanner for your vehicle, this is a good option for you to consider.
It also informs you of things like current speed, water temperature, and a few other parameters, which is something I appreciate.
What’s nice is that this model was easy for me to install, but setting it up is a bit of a different story.
Summary
As you might be able to tell, the products which I reviewed here today are quite diverse. So, if you need a good OBD or OBD2 scanner to run basic diagnostics on your car.
Something like the DRIVIM Car HUD Head Up Display or the SHEROX A900 Car HUD Head Up Display would both be good options to keep in mind.
The TIMPROVE T600 Universal Car HUD can run some basic diagnostics too.
If you want something a bit more basic, I would go with either the GPS Head-Up Display Speedometer or the Hudly Wireless Head-Up Display.
